Summer birthdays are a big deal in our house.
We seem to be celebrating a big day all summer long, so by the time August rolls around, we’re thrilled to have a fun, easy way to celebrate.
Enter these yummy, easy chocolate birthday cupcakes.
They’re a summer birthday tradition at our house.
Not only are they rich and delicious; they’re also incredibly quick to make.
In about 10 minutes, these can be in the oven – which is much less time than it would take to go to the store and buy cupcakes.
It’s a simple, one bowl, no fail chocolate cupcake – you can find the recipe here.
Just top with a dollop of buttercream frosting and sprinkles and you have the perfect birthday treat! These have chocolate chunks added to make them extra special.
Canadians seem to agree. A recent survey by Enbridge says that the most important birthday tradition to Canadians is the birthday cake and candles. I have to say that we agree!
While we may all be busier than ever, it’s important to take the time to celebrate special occasions.
