Hope you’re all enjoying summer as much as we are over here!
Today I’m talking about one of my very favorite things in the world, ice cream.
We love ice cream here about as much as humanly possible, so I was thrilled when the folks at the J.M. Smucker Company reached out to us to try out their Smucker’s® Ice Cream Toppings.
We’ve been having a busy summer over here, and spending maybe a bit too much time running around. It was definitely time to slow down and do something fun together as a family.
What better than to sit down in the middle of a scorching hot summer afternoon and make sundaes for everyone!
I decided to go shopping for some tasty Smucker’s® Ice Cream Toppings at Walmart, where you’ll find a great selection, with everything from butterscotch to caramel, strawberry and chocolate. Definitely yum! Seriously, go check them out!
Now, ice cream anytime is great, but Smucker’s® Ice Cream Toppings really help turn an ordinary bowl of ice cream into a fun occasion.
We thought long and hard about what to make for our sundaes and finally decided on… everything!
The great thing about making sundaes is that you can create the perfect treat for everyone.
My daughter loves all of the flavors, she we went crazy with hers, with layers of Smucker’s strawberry sundae syrup on the bottom, Smucker’s caramel sundae syrup in the middle, and Smucker’s Magic Shell on top!
I made my husband’s sundae with just a kiss of Smucker’s caramel sundae syrup and plenty of Smucker’s strawberry sundae syrup on top of cool, fresh vanilla ice cream and fresh, juicy strawberries.
My son went all out like my daughter, with strawberry and caramel syrup and Smucker’s Magic Shell topped with chocolate chips, whipped cream and a juicy strawberry.
The sky is really the limit with these, and they’re such a fun party idea, too! Super simple and yummy!
I can’t tell you how much fun it was just to forget all of our busy lives for a while, and sit down as a family and treat ourselves to a special sundae.
And finally, my personal favorite… an old fashioned chocolate sundae with fresh strawberries on the bottom.
This one’s so simple and so good. Just layer vanilla ice cream over fresh, sliced strawberries, and top with Smucker’s strawberry sundae syrup. You can even add a hint of Smucker’s caramel sundae syrup in the middle, if you like. Then add another layer of vanilla ice cream, and top that with Smucker’s Magic Shell chocolate topping. So good! Now add whipped cream, and top with sprinkles and a fresh strawberry. Yum!
