It’s no secret I love the family road trip.
I spend a lot of time in our car every year, whether that’s on a road trip vacation, or driving to visit family.
I’m always looking for a helpful new tip or gadget to make our life on the road easier.

During our family time on the road, we really focus on staying safe. One part of that is monitoring our speed to make sure we don’t go too fast (or too slow!) on the road.
Keeping a safe driving speed
It’s so easy to get caught up in watching the scenery and suddenly find myself going over the speed limit. I don’t like to admit it, but we’ve gotten more than one speeding ticket on the way to visit family in the last few years.
Luckily, Best Buy has a cool new Uniden R7 Radar Detector that helps to monitor speed. It lets drivers set a speed and alerts the driver when they go above that speed.
What’s especially handy is that it has voice notifications, which keeps my hands on the wheel! There’s a MAX speed warning system that lets me hear when I exceed the preset speed without taking my eyes off the road.
When I do need to glance at the screen, the Uniden R7 Radar Detector has a large screen that lets the user easily and quickly read the information, letting me focus on the road ahead! It works with most vehicles and will let you get real-time alerts in your existing vehicle.
All of that means that I can keep a safe driving speed.
There are directional arrows to let you know where the radar signal is coming from, which will let you know about radar traps.
I love that it can keep us safer, and help us avoid speeding tickets, too!
